Our client based in Greater London is recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join their growing organisation on a Full-Time permanent basis. Please note: Occasional travel may be required.

Project Manager Job Role:
- To ensure the successful and timely fulfilment of customer projects which will involve software development and delivery.
- This involves liaison with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and colleagues in the UK and Internationally.
- Ensuring customer concerns and queries are addressed in a timely fashion.
- Liaise with other internal stakeholders to progress outstanding issues.
- Effectively communicate relevant information to interested parties (customers, internal stakeholders, sub-contractors).
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Agree achievable timescales with customers and maintain communication throughout the project.
- Develop thorough contractual understanding of existing supply contracts and general contractual requirements.
- Ensure existing supply projects are executed in accordance with contract.
- Ensure that all works fall within the contract requirements.
- Process required changes in accordance with change procedures and ensure appropriate commercial arrangements are made with the customer.
- Technical management, maintaining awareness of industry developments; interface with technical experts within customer organisations.
- Monitor and manage project budget.
- Approve invoices from sub-contractors; determine relevant costs, work with bid management to prepare and submit commercial offers for opportunities that may arise.
- Ensure products are scheduled for manufacture in the factory and delivered to the customer when needed.
- Co-ordinate site construction, manage necessary subcontractors for installation and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with colleagues as necessary to provide supervision for site construction and subcontractor work.
- Ensure timely preparation of any necessary method statements and construction health & safety documentation; ensure works carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations.
- Identify resource requirements in good time; create work packages and apply for resource from the correct department or subcontractor.
IT Project Manager Desirable skills:
- Degree or qualifications related to Project Management - Agile and PRINCE 2 would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience in Project Management within Transport/Rail/Engineering.
- Software Delivery focused PM experience rather than Hardware.
- Demonstrable understanding of ITSO requirements and application.
- Previous exposure to a National/International Projects related role.
- Resilient and tenacious personality.
