We are looking for a friendly, reliable Relief Dispenser or ACT to join our team covering our Pharmacies across the Lothian area. You will play an important part in delivering safe, efficient and compassionate pharmacy care to our local community. The ideal candidate will have a driving licence to cover the pharmacies on your patch, however this is not essential. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in accuracy and stays focused in a busy environment. You will be supported by an experienced pharmacy team and given the opportunity to build your skills, whether you are already qualified or starting your pharmacy career.
What you will be doing:
- Preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately under the supervision of the Pharmacist
- Ensuring medicines are labelled, assembled and organised correctly
- Supporting patients at the counter in a professional and approachable manner
- Assisting with ordering and managing stock
- Supporting daily and weekly prescription workflows to ensure items are ready on time
- Working closely with the Pharmacist, Technicians and wider pharmacy team
- Completing essential day‑to‑day pharmacy tasks to keep the branch running smoothly
About you:
- Friendly, approachable and confident when speaking with patients
- Organised, dependable and comfortable working at pace
- Focused on accuracy and doing things properly
- Interested in healthcare and community focused work
- Pharmacy experience or dispenser training is preferred but not essential
- Willing to complete required training programmes, some of which may take place outside normal working hours
