Right Match Recruitment Group is working with a well-established and expanding law firm in Maidstone that is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Conveyancing department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous legal secretarial experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Whilst conveyancing experience would be beneficial, the firm is happy to consider candidates with a solid legal secretarial background who are keen to develop their knowledge within property law.
The Role
You will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to the Conveyancing team, helping to ensure residential and commercial property transactions run smoothly from instruction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day support to Conveyancing Fee Earners.
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence and reports.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and other third parties.
- Managing diaries, appointments and arranging meetings.
- Opening and maintaining client files in line with compliance procedures.
- Submitting Land Registry applications and carrying out property searches.
- Handling telephone enquiries and delivering an excellent level of client service.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a law firm.
- Conveyancing experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and client care abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience of case management systems being an advantage.
- A professional, proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.
