A leading global manufacturer within the fire safety industry is seeking an Entry-Level Configurator Developer to join its growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior developer looking to build a career in ERP development and manufacturing software. Full training will be provided on the ERP system, making this an ideal role for someone with a solid programming foundation and a willingness to learn.

The Role

  • Support the development, maintenance and improvement of product configurators within the ERP system, working alongside experienced developers on a variety of business-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of configurators.
  • Modify existing configurator logic to meet business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configurator issues.
  • Write and maintain C# code.
  • Develop and maintain LINQ queries.
  • Test configurators before deployment.
  • Support senior developers with new functionality and enhancements.
  • Document development work and follow coding standards.

Essential Skills

  • Basic knowledge of C#.
  • Basic understanding of LINQ.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Understanding of programming fundamentals, including variables, loops, conditional statements, methods and classes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A genuine desire to learn and develop technical skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with .NET.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework.
  • Exposure to ERP systems or manufacturing software would be advantageous but is not essential.

Experience

  • Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Development or a related discipline.
  • Commercial programming experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Recent graduates and junior developers are encouraged to apply.
