The Role
We are seeking an experienced Group Account Director to oversee a portfolio of global client partnerships across Formula One and the wider sports marketing landscape. This senior leadership role is responsible for strategic account oversight, operational excellence and commercial growth across complex partnership programmes. You will lead integrated teams spanning Strategy, Creative, PR & Communications, Digital & Content, and Live Experience & Events, ensuring every partnership programme delivers measurable impact. Success in this role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and exceptional client relationship skills, with the confidence to shape strategy and present ideas directly to senior client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of global client partnerships, acting as senior advisor and escalation point
- Shape and drive the strategic direction of global partnership programmes
- Translate sponsorship assets into impactful integrated marketing platforms
- Identify and drive commercial growth opportunities across client accounts
- Lead, mentor and inspire global client leadership teams
- Maintain exceptional client service standards across programmes worldwide
- Maintain detailed knowledge of client contracts to support delivery, renewals and growth
- Support strategic growth initiatives including pitches and new business opportunities
- Champion innovation in sponsorship activation and partnership strategy
- Lead annual budget planning, financial management and reporting
- Drive client satisfaction, retention and growth through structured feedback processes
- Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, representing Right Formula internally and externally
Skills & Experience
- 12+ years’ experience in sports marketing, sponsorship or entertainment industries
- Deep experience working within the Formula One ecosystem
- Strong background in global partnership marketing and hospitality programmes
- Proven experience managing and growing major client relationships at senior level
- Experience managing large global teams across multiple accounts
- Strong financial management capability including budget planning and account profitability
- Experience implementing client service frameworks and operational processes
- Experience applying performance metrics and evaluation frameworks
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
