Location: Battersea, London | Hybrid (3 days in the office). At Right Formula, we enable brands to push the limits of sports marketing through a unique blend of expertise, ingenuity and agility that we call the Right Formula. From Formula One to the wider sports ecosystem, we partner with some of the world’s leading brands to unlock growth through the power of sport. We’re now looking for a commercially minded WIP Controller to join our Finance team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the business, taking ownership of Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) across the agency and ensuring projects are financially robust from set‑up through to completion.
Working closely with Finance, Operations and Client Services teams, you’ll ensure costs are accurately captured, revenue is recognised correctly, billing plans are maintained and project profitability is clearly visible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate WIP across all client accounts
- Managing billing plans, invoicing and revenue recognition
- Producing WIP, revenue and profitability reporting
- Investigating and resolving aged WIP and reconciliation issues
- Partnering with account teams to ensure projects remain commercially sound
- Supporting month-end processes, forecasting and continuous process improvement
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a WIP Controller, Revenue Controller, Billing Controller, Project Finance Analyst or in a similar role
- Experience within an agency, consultancy or professional services environment
- A strong understanding of WIP management, billing processes and revenue recognition
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Experience with Synergist and/or AccountsIQ would be advantageous, but isn’t essential
