The Role
As CFO, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, acting as a trusted partner to the CEO and driving the company's financial and strategic direction. This is not just a finance role: we are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with the commercial mindset to identify new revenue streams, support acquisitions, and help deliver sustainable growth. You will oversee all aspects of financial management, while also contributing to wider business strategy, culture and performance. At the right time, you will also prepare the business for potential sale or investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO in defining and executing company strategy.
- Lead the finance function, ensuring robust controls, reporting and compliance.
- Drive EBITDA growth by implementing efficiencies, delivering insight, and supporting business development.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, budgets, and financial models to support informed decision-making.
- Lead M&A activity including identifying targets, conducting due diligence, valuation, and integration.
- Oversee tax (both UK and international), audit, legal and risk management functions.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a strong culture aligned with company values.
- Implement scalable systems and processes to support growth and digital transformation.
- Act as an ambassador for Right Formula, representing the business externally with credibility.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a CFO who combines financial expertise with commercial acumen and leadership presence:
- ACA qualified, ideally Big 4 trained.
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership within high-growth, dynamic global businesses.
- Background in marketing, media, sports or agency sectors strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in M&A execution and integration.
- Strong management reporting and information systems expertise.
- Excellent knowledge of international tax.
- Entrepreneurial, resilient, and performance-driven with excellent communication skills.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insight.
