With schools already beginning to plan for the next academic year, now is the ideal time to start exploring your options. Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a fresh challenge, an ECT searching for your first permanent position, or simply want the security of having work available whilst you find the right long-term role, we'd love to speak with you.

Right Education works closely with primary schools across York and the surrounding areas, giving our teachers access to both long-term vacancies and flexible supply opportunities across Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). For many educators, supply work provides an excellent route into a permanent role. It allows you to experience different schools, build local relationships, strengthen your classroom practice and often puts you at the front of the queue when schools begin recruiting. For others, it offers the reassurance of regular work while searching for the right opportunity. Whatever your plans for September, we can help you keep your options open.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teachers with UK QTS or a recognised equivalent
  • Experience teaching within EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A positive, adaptable approach to teaching and learning
  • Availability for at least two days per week

What you can expect:

  • Access to both long-term and day-to-day teaching opportunities
  • The opportunity to be introduced to schools before vacancies are advertised more widely
  • Flexible work around your preferred days, locations and key stages
  • Competitive weekly pay through PAYE (umbrella available if preferred)
  • Access to over 60 accredited CPD courses
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant who knows the local schools
  • Opportunities in a wide variety of settings, from village primaries to larger multi-form entry schools

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full safeguarding checks in line with KCSIE guidance

Why Right Education?

We know that choosing your next role is about more than simply finding work. We take the time to understand the type of school, year group and environment where you'll thrive. If you're looking for a permanent position next year, we'll actively support that search. If you're still weighing up your options, we'll make sure you have access to flexible teaching opportunities so you're never left without work. Our reputation has been built on honest communication, quality schools and valuing the educators we represent. If you're considering your next move for September, or simply want the reassurance of having opportunities available should plans change, we'd be delighted to have a conversation.
