This is an established and well-respected private hire operation with a strong presence across South London, known for reliability, professionalism and a supportive team culture. With continued growth planned through 2026, the business is expanding its control room function and is looking for experienced Night Dispatch Controllers to join a fast-paced, high-energy team. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, understands night-time logistics, and remains calm and decisive during quieter but higher-stakes hours.

The Role:

  • Precision Dispatching: Using the Cordic system to allocate work efficiently during night operations
  • Forward Planning: Managing pre-booked work, late-night demand and early-morning ramp-ups
  • Operational Awareness: Keeping services running smoothly with reduced staffing and support
  • Problem Solving: Handling delays, route issues and unexpected challenges calmly and professionally

Shift Pattern (Nights): 4-on / 4-off rotating roster. Night shifts: 18:00 - 06:00. This pattern provides regular blocks of time off and consistency around working hours.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a dispatch or control role (Cordic experience highly desirable)
  • Local Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Croydon, South London and surrounding areas
  • IT Skills: Confident using computer systems and digital dispatch software
  • Mindset: Reliable, organised, able to work independently at night while remaining aligned with the wider operation

The Details:

  • Pay: From £16.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Status: Full-time, self-employed position
