About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing and well-established specialist contractor delivering HVAC, ductwork and mechanical ventilation projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and mixed-use developments.
This role will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in ductwork, HVAC and ventilation systems and be confident managing multiple stakeholders, site teams and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HVAC and ductwork projects from award through to completion.
- Oversee project planning, programming and resource allocation.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with statutory requirements.
- Attend client, design and site progress meetings.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
- Manage procurement and material schedules.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Produce regular progress reports for senior management and clients.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the HVAC, ductwork or mechanical services industry.
- Strong understanding of ventilation, ductwork and air movement systems.
- Experience delivering commercial or industrial M&E projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong programme and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- SMSTS qualification.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Experience working with main contractors and Tier 1 contractors.
- Knowledge of BIM and digital project management systems.
