We are currently recruiting HGV class 2 drivers with HIAB for our client in High Wycombe for a permanent position.

The role will consist of the following duties:

  • Delivery and collection of roofing and associated materials to site and respective suppliers, by means of mechanical and/or manual loading and unloading
  • Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
  • Clearance of second hand materials and rubbish from site
  • Loading and unloading customers, suppliers and own vehicles
  • Assisting customers with enquiries
  • Report to the Transport Coordinator / Branch Manager at the start of each shift
  • Adhere to signing in and out procedure and ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
  • Observe and adhere to Company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
  • Keep Company vehicles clean and tidy both internally and externally
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the Transport Department
  • Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
  • Effectively manage own working time, in line with the Road Transport Directive
  • Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with Company procedure
  • Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Branch after delivery
  • Ensure regular communication with the Branch
  • Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point
  • Ensure correct completion of a defect report as and when required
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
