About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and passionate Deputy Care Manager to support our high-quality care service across Cardiff & Newport. You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding care, lead and support our team, and ensure full compliance with CIW and commissioning standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day delivery of care services across Cardiff & Newport
- Ensure compliance with Right at Home, CIW, and other local/national standards
- Provide leadership and support to office staff
- Oversee quality assurance and work closely with the Compliance Officer
- Promote person-centred care and implement care plans effectively
- Take part in Manager on-call duties
- Support and oversee Care Coordinators and rota management
- Provide admin support to the Registered Manager
- Step into the Registered Manager role when needed
- Support recruitment and interviews
- Monitor and manage team performance against KPIs
- Understand and work within the brokerage system
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months in a senior care/support role
- Working towards or completed QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management
- Excellent knowledge of Cardiff and surrounding areas
- Full UK/EU driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong IT, organisational, and time management skills
- Experience with CSIW regulations and domiciliary care standards
- Ability to undertake personal care if required
- Team player who can also work independently
