About us

Right at Home GF provides high-quality homecare to older people, people living with dementia and other vulnerable adults in our communities. We are recruiting a Trainee Care Coordinator for our Guildford office to help deliver outstanding local care.

Use your communication and organisational skills to support Care Assistants in delivering reliable care. We seek a friendly, flexible and detail-oriented team member.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with the Deputy Care Manager to maintain smooth Client/Carer communication
  • Schedule care efficiently, allowing adequate care and travel time
  • Answer calls professionally and record enquiries accurately
  • Share and record changes to Client or Carer needs and availability
  • Log complaints, feedback and enquiries using the correct procedure
  • Maintain clear communication and positive working relationships with Care Assistants
  • Record new Care Assistants and Clients on the system promptly
  • Report weekly on recruitment needs, rota gaps, risks, availability and concerns
  • Match suitable Care Assistants to each package
  • Prepare weekly rosters and issue rotas promptly
  • Record holidays, sickness and absences accurately
  • Plan and record cover for holidays, training and planned absence
  • Maintain accurate communication, Client and Care Assistant records
  • Report weekly travel and wait-time KPIs
  • Join the on-call rota

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous Domiciliary Care experience - Essential
  • Scheduling, HR or recording system experience - Desirable
  • Health and Social Care or relevant qualification - Desirable
  • Customer service experience - Desirable
  • UK driving licence, daily car use and Class 1 business insurance

Abilities, Skills & Behaviours

  • Commitment to making a difference and supporting business growth
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer and MS Office skills, including reporting
  • Self-motivated and flexible, including participation in out-of-hours on-call
  • Highly organised, with strong planning, prioritisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to build effective professional relationships
  • Strong administration and workload-management skills
