Care Assistant – Mornings & Flexible Hours

Location: Southampton

Pay: £16.59–£17.15 per hour (including holiday pay)

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday + Every Other Weekend

A Flexible Start – With More Opportunities

For your first 12 weeks, you'll join us on a Flexible Hours Contract, giving you the opportunity to settle into the role while building confidence with your regular Clients. If you decide you'd like more hours, we'll work with you to build a consistent schedule with regular Clients. As your availability grows, you'll also have the opportunity to move onto a Guaranteed Hours Contract, giving you greater security and predictable earnings. Whether you're looking for 20 hours a week or hoping to build a long-term career in care, we'll support you every step of the way.

Shifts Available:

  • Morning shifts: 7:00am – 1:00pm
  • Flexible split shifts: 9:30am – 1:00pm and 5:15pm – 10:00pm
  • Opportunity to increase hours if and when it suits you.

What You'll Receive:

  • £16.59 per hour weekdays
  • £17.15 per hour weekends (holiday pay included)
  • 35p per mile mileage allowance
  • Paid training – we pay you for attending your training before you start caring.
  • Minimum 1-hour visits with every Client.

A Typical Day

Your day could begin helping a regular Client prepare breakfast, get dressed, and start their morning comfortably in their own home. You'll have enough time to provide quality care, build genuine relationships, and make a real difference without being rushed from one 15-minute visit to the next.
