Most people scroll past care jobs because they assume it means long days, low pay, and no flexibility. This one is different. Right at Home Solent is rated Outstanding by the CQC, that puts us in the top tier of homecare providers in the country. We are looking for Care Assistants across Southampton who want morning or flexible hours that leave room for the rest of your life.

The shifts we need:

  • Morning shifts: 7am–1pm (with the option to pick up more hours in the afternoon if it suits you)

What you get:

  • £16.59/hr weekdays, £17.15/hr weekends with holiday pay built in. No surprises
  • Paid mileage at 35p per mile
  • One-hour minimum visits: proper time with every Client, never a rushed 15-minute dash
  • Your own regular Clients in Southampton so you build real relationships, not just tick boxes
  • Full paid training, NVQ qualifications, and genuine career progression (we promote from within)
  • Pension, Blue Light Card, and a £150 refer-a-friend bonus
  • Monthly entry into our £150 bonus lottery for Carers
  • 4.8 stars on Indeed from 121 reviews (do not take our word for it, read what our team says)

Who this role suits:

You might be a parent who wants to earn well while the children are at school. You might be looking for a career change from retail or hospitality into something with more purpose. You might already be an experienced Carer who is tired of being sent to a different house every day. Whatever your background, if you are kind, reliable, and genuinely interested in people, we want to hear from you. No care experience needed, we train you fully.

You will need:

  • A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Some weekend availability every other weekend
  • The kind of warmth and patience that makes someone feel safe in your company

A day in this role:

Your morning might start at 7am helping a Client with their breakfast routine — the same person you helped yesterday, who has their tea with one sugar and likes to hear the radio on while they get dressed. By lunchtime, you have supported three or four people to start their day on their own terms, in their own homes. You have not been rushed. You have not been sent across the city. You have done work that actually matters.
