Location: Across Sefton (including Crosby, Formby, Southport, Maghull, Bootle and surrounding areas)

Position: Full-Time – Guaranteed Hours (70 hours over two weeks)

Salary: £13.75 per hour + 35p per mile mileage allowance

Shifts: Evenings (Typically from 3:00pm – 11:00pm)

The Role

We are recruiting Senior Care Assistants to lead by example and support both clients and care staff across our operational areas. This is a full-time role offering guaranteed hours and evening shifts. You will be providing hands-on personal care, monitoring care quality, supporting new team members, and liaising with the office to report any concerns or changes in clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality personal care and support services in line with individual care plans
  • Supervise and mentor care assistants during evening shifts
  • Conduct spot checks and ensure compliance with care standards and documentation
  • Provide medication support and assist with mobility and domestic tasks
  • Monitor client wellbeing and escalate issues to the Care Manager as needed
  • Cover care calls where required during busy periods or staff absence
  • Travel across all operational areas using your own vehicle

What We’re Looking For

  • Female applicants only (due to genuine occupational requirement)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Previous experience in a care assistant or similar role is essential
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings reliably and flexibly across Sefton
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Passionate about providing outstanding, person-centred care
