Job Requirements

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Availability for some weekend work (every other weekend).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Reliability, warmth, and genuine interest in people.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll support people to live independently in their own homes, helping with personal care, preparing meals, prompting medication, and being a familiar, reassuring presence.
  • Some days that means accompanying a client to a GP appointment. Other days, it’s a cup of tea and a proper conversation that makes the biggest difference.
  • No care experience needed; we’ll train you fully from day one.

Work Hours & Shifts

  • Minimum 3 days for weekdays. Morning shifts, late morning, evenings, and split shifts.
  • Example flexible pattern: 9:30am‑1pm and 5:15pm‑10pm – your afternoon stays yours.

What you can expect

  • £16.59/hr weekdays | £17.15/hr weekends (holiday pay already included).
  • Paid mileage at 35p per mile.
  • One‑hour minimum visits; no rushed 15‑minute calls – proper time with every client.
  • Consistent clients in your local area; you’ll get to know the people you support, not just their postcode.
  • Monthly £150 bonus lottery for all active Carers.
  • Paid training from day one, with NVQ pathways and real progression opportunities.
