Recognised as a progressive, sector leader in the provision of health and social care, we are actively recruiting a Care Supervisor for our office in Harrow, to help us deliver outstanding care and make a real difference to members of our local community.
This role requires a person with exceptional communication and organisational skills to support our fantastic team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, reliable care to our valued Clients. The ideal candidate will be personable, offer a great deal of flexibility and be detail-oriented to enable us to provide quality, reliable care.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Provide support to our Care Assistants in their day-to-day job
- Onboard new carers and introduce them to Clients
- Participate in new Client assessments, complete and update care plans and risk assessments.
- Draw up tailored person-centred care plans for new Clients
- Carry out introductions every time a Care Assistant is matched to a client for the first time
- Monitor, shadow, supervise and mentor all Care Assistants
- Support the Care Management Team in assuring all documents and records are compliant with regulatory standards
- Monitor and assess all Clients for customer satisfaction
- Ensure the recording of all necessary information clearly and legibly in line with record keeping policies and procedures
- Responding to queries from Clients
- Deliver care calls as required in emergencies and gaps in rota
- Take a turn on a rota basis to manage the office on-call telephone support service, including every other weekend.
- Act on own initiative and exercise decision making skills, as far as possible and wherever appropriate
- Building relationships with the Clients and their families to ensure we deliver personalised care
- To ensure training needs of all staff are met effectively, reporting to the Care Management team where training gaps are identified
- Support the Training Team by providing prompt, accurate feedback to the Care Management team on new Care Assistant competency.
- Must hold a valid full UK/EU driving licence and access to a reliable car
- Experience within a health care environment
- Relevant qualification, such as Health and Social Care NVQ or Care Certificate
- Good computer skills including proficient use of MS Office, the ability to produce reports and good computer systems knowledge
- Has the desire to make a real difference and greatly improve an already well-established business
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and flexible, with a willingness to participate in an on-call system for out of office hours
- Extremely well organized, excellent planning and prioritising ability with high attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships
- Strong administration skills and ability to manage multiple work loads
