The Senior Chef de Partie at Sea Containers Hotel is a skilled culinary professional responsible for leading a specific section of the kitchen. This role involves overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes, training junior staff, and ensuring the high quality and consistency of culinary offerings. The role will report directly to the Sous Chef and will have a dotted reporting line to the Head Chef at the location the position is based at.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage a kitchen section, overseeing preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and recipe adherence
- Train, mentor, and support chefs de partie, cooks, and kitchen assistants
- Execute menus to brand and culinary standards, contributing to menu development
- Conduct tastings and inspections to ensure quality and address issues promptly
- Collaborate with Head and Sous Chefs on planning, organisation, and improvements
- Support stock management, ordering, and inventory control
- Assist with food cost control and contribute to commercially sound decisions
- Maintain exemplary hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards
- Work closely with front-of-house, sales, and other departments to optimise guest satisfaction
**About You**
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior CDP within a hotel or high-end kitchen
- Confident leader with a passion for developing people
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commercially aware while uncompromising on food quality
- Comfortable collaborating across departments in a luxury hospitality environment
- Knowledge of the luxury / lifestyle hotel sector is an advantage
