We're looking for a confident, professional and guest-focused Bar Security Officer to join our team at one of our two distinctive bars: 12th Knot or Lyaness.

Working across our vibrant bar operations, you'll play an important role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are upheld.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Providing a visible and professional security presence within our bars and guest areas
  • Welcoming guests and maintaining a friendly, approachable manner
  • Monitoring guest behaviour and identifying potential issues before they escalat
  • Managing entry and ensuring our admission policies are consistently followed
  • Supporting the team with crowd management during busy periods and events
  • Responding calmly and professionally to incidents, disputes or challenging situations
  • Working closely with the Bar, Front Office and wider hotel teams
  • Carrying out regular checks of designated areas
  • Following hotel security procedures and accurately reporting incidents
  • Supporting the safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues at all times

What we're looking for someone who is

  • SIA Door Supervisor licensed
  • Confident, professional and approachable
  • Calm under pressure with excellent situational awareness
  • Comfortable dealing with challenging situations diplomatically
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work late-night and weekend shifts
  • Guest-focused, with a genuine understanding of hospitality
  • Previous experience in hotel, bar or nightlife security is desirable
