The Restaurant Waiter

As the Restaurant Waiter, you will play a vital part in creating a positive dining experience for our guests. As a waiter, you will provide attentive service, take orders, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. The role will report directly to the Restaurant Floor Manager/Supervisor and will have a dotted reporting line to the Restaurant Manager at the location the position is based at.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver friendly, professional guest service, ensuring a personalised and high-quality dining experience.
  • Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders, providing menu recommendations and maintaining strong product knowledge.
  • Maintain clean and well-presented tables, ensuring efficient setup, clearing, and overall dining environment.
  • Drive sales through upselling and promotion of menu items and specials while handling billing and payments accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service, support training of new staff, and assist with bar and terrace operations as required.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, listening, writing).
  • Experience in hotel operations and service quality levels.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills in problem-solving.
  • Ability to acquire, maintain and influence relationships e.g., stakeholders, customers, vendors, investors.
  • Knowledge of the markets specific luxury / lifestyle hotel sector.
  • Effective conflict and change management skills.

Salary: £12.71 p/h + service charge, plus benefits
