The Role
We’re looking for a Day Engineer to join our dedicated Engineering team. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring our hotel always looks and operates at its best. You’ll take pride in keeping our systems running smoothly and our guests and team safe and comfortable. Working closely with the Engineering Lead, you’ll carry out routine maintenance, respond to repair requests, and support with inspections, safety checks, and emergency situations when required.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out daily maintenance and repair tasks across the hotel (including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems).
- Respond quickly to guest and team requests, ensuring minimal disruption and excellent service.
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms and public areas to identify issues early.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities using the hotel’s management systems.
- Work closely with other departments to prioritise and complete jobs efficiently.
- Support in emergency situations such as equipment breakdowns or power outages.
- Maintain high safety and compliance standards, following all health and safety regulations.
- Provide cover for Shift Engineers during absence or leave (including occasional weekend or night cover).
