The Bellman is a highly visible, guest‐facing role central to creating outstanding first and last impressions at Sea Containers London. As a key presence in the lobby, the role ensures seamless, personalised arrivals and departures, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional hospitality from the moment guests arrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding first and last impressions by warmly welcoming and farewelling guests, assisting with luggage, rooming, and smooth arrivals and departures.
  • Manage door, lobby, and parking operations, ensuring all areas are well presented, fully manned, and prepared for guest arrivals, events, and VIP movements.
  • Provide transport, valet, and basic concierge support, including driving and parking vehicles, arranging taxis, giving directions, and promoting hotel amenities.
  • Ensure guest safety and security by following luggage handling procedures, monitoring entrances, and reporting concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with Front Office and other departments, support events and peak operations, handle cash responsibly, and assist with training and team presentation standards.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a highly guest‐centric approach focused on listening, personalisation, and anticipation of needs.
  • Proven experience delivering training, with strong organisational, analytical, and problem‐solving abilities.
  • Strong relationship‐building skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the luxury or lifestyle hospitality sector, with sound conflict and change management capabilities.
  • Confident in directing guests and providing clear guidance, with a genuine interest in the luxury hotel and leisure market.
