CNC Machinist (Turning and Milling) – Precision Engineering Filling Equipment Manufacturer Nelson, Lancashire £Competitive Riggs Autopack is the leading designer and manufacturer of filling machines and depositors for the food, industrial, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Our machines have an outstanding reputation for assisting customers in filling sensitive, delicate and difficult to handle products and we support our customers with an industry leading service. Privately owned, we are a successful part of a group of companies and have been established for 80 years. Our headquarters are based in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Nelson. We are now looking to recruit a CNC Machinist. As a time served engineer (or equivalently qualified) you will be capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings as well as following verbal instructions to produce high quality work to tight tolerances and in line with targeted levels of output. You will be proficient at CNC machine programming, setting and operating using Fanuc controls, and desirably with Mill-Turn experience. Other programming experience in Mazatrol or Heidenhain would be advantageous but not essential. Where applicable on-site training can be provided on the job to improve the successful applicant. You will be at home on CNC turning and have a good appreciation of milling methods. Ideally you will also have experience in the use of conventional centre lathes, and it would be advantageous with semi-automatic lathes experience but not essential. Working as part of a dedicated team you will aide in improving working processes and will at all times ensure you maintain safe working practices. Experience of working with stainless steels is preferred but is not essential. Our working hours are 39 hours per week and your shifts will be Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm; however a degree of flexibility may also be required. Your rate of pay will be dependent upon the level of your experience / skill
