CPL healthcare UK are urgently looking for a Stroke Consultant to start ASAP for 3 months initially with a view to extend further for a client of ours based in Wales.

Job detail:

  • The ward work is to attend daily Board Round, then doing daily consultant ward round with juniors to see stroke patients.
  • All new patients, acute stroke patients and sick patients must need a consultant ward round daily.
  • The stable rehab patients must need a consultant ward round every 4 days.
  • Other ward work will include authorising electronic discharge summaries and attending stroke MDT.
  • 10 session plan Acute Stroke/rehab Ward cover, including 1 session Weds PM for SPA, 2 half sessions for clinical admin.
  • All time during these sessions would be undertaken on site including admin and SPA.
  • No on-call.
  • TIA clinic not as yet required but may be in the future.

Monday to Friday schedule:

  • AM: Ward
  • PM: Ward/Admin

Essential requirements:

  • GMC with license to practice
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum 6 month NHS experience
