Cpl UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for an experienced General Adult Specialty Doctor in the Rehabilitation (Low Secure) service, around Bridgend. The post is based within the Low Secure Mental Health Service which is based at Bridgend. This post forms part of the establishment for the 28-bedded Low Secure Unit at the Hospital site which opened in 2015 and replaced the existing 14-bedded Interim Low Secure Unit which was established in 2008. The Unit provides inpatient beds for mentally disordered offenders. The Service has two Clinical Teams and well developed community services. It is part of Specialist Services of the Mental Health and Learning Disability Delivery Unit. Specialist Services have very strong links with local universities and includes academic appointments in the form of a Professor of Forensic Psychiatry, a Lecturer in Forensic Mental Health Nursing and a Professor of Psychology. It is committed to multi-disciplinary planning, organization and delivery of services. It has developed good relationships with the local community and related agencies and has a reputation for providing high quality services. As members of the Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services, the aim is to facilitate quality improvement and change in forensic mental health settings through a supportive network and peer-review process. The Forensic Psychiatric Service forms part of the wider range of services available within Swansea and the Learning Disabilities Delivery Unit. The aims of the service are to offer a range of services with an emphasis on community care, modern inpatient services and interventions that reflect best practice. Services also include Acute, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
