Cpl UK Healthcare, formerly RIG Locums, works with NHS Trusts across the UK and private hospitals. We are currently recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist to cover ad‑hoc shifts, including 24‑hour on‑calls, in the Scottish Highlands. Role starts immediately and is for an initial two‑month period, covering 3‑5 shifts/on‑calls per week. The schedule will involve orthopaedics, plastics, urology, breast surgery, general surgery, maxillofacial surgery and ENT, with potential ICU and maternity cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anaesthesia for orthopaedic, plastic, urology, breast, general, maxillofacial, ENT, ICU and maternity procedures.
- Perform 24‑hour on‑call duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with NHS standards and policies.
Requirements
- GMC registration with license to practice.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Minimum 6 months recent NHS experience as a consultant.
- Updated CV and two references.
- DBS or proof of being on the updated service system.
- Valid ALS certification.
- Availability to start immediately.
Payment: inside IR35, paid weekly via PAYE at rates approx £100-110 per hour. This role is part of CPL UK Health's ongoing roster.
