RIG Locums are working on an exclusive Senior Clinical Fellow Paediatrics vacancy and we can consider applicants for a locum or fixed term post in the Norwich area. This is a Senior Clinical Fellow post at registrar level and although has no recognition for training purposes, the department will integrate the successful applicant into the team of ST4+s, giving access to a wide range of educational opportunities and will provide consultant level educational supervision and support including study leave and taking part in departmental and regional ST4+ study days.

Sub-specialty experience is available, as appropriate to the applicant’s experience and interests. Clinical duties in all general paediatric areas, including outpatients, Children’s Assessment Unit, A&E and other areas, as required. It is available from 4th March 2019 until 1st September 2019. The post may be extendable by mutual agreement as other opportunities within the acute paediatric and or tertiary neonatal team are anticipated.

The post would suit a doctor developing a career in paediatrics who wants to gain experience in a busy unit that offers a wide range of subspecialist services. This unit has ten Tier 1 doctors in general paediatrics (2 FY2, 4 GPStR, 4 StR). There are 8 hospital-based, and 2 community-based registrars who participate in the general paediatric on-call rota. A clinical fellow (Tier 2) supports CAU and has some on-call responsibilities. A separate Tier 1 and Tier 2 rota operates in neonatology. This post has no neonatal responsibilities.
