RIG Locums are currently recruiting urgently for Locum Specialty Doctors in Sexual Health/GUM to take up long term locum placements in the Manchester region among other locations in the UK. This is based with a private provider.
Our locum position will be between 6 and 8 sessions weekly, working short or long days, no weekends. Ideally we want doctors who can commit to filling a rota slot for 2-3 months with flexibility on shift pattern.
The applicant will be expected to provide cover for walk in & wait and booked clinics, including at least one evening session. The post-holder will be expected to work without direct supervision, as part of a team providing care for patients in accordance with the standards and guidelines set by Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) and British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH).
The doctor will also actively promote good sexual health through the provision of health promotion and health education. Doctors must have a minimum of 3 years experience for these types of roles.
Doctors will need to be able to cover contraception and STI clinics and contribute to the Dept in the way of training, audit etc.
