CPL UK Health are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum SHO in Neurosurgery for an NHS Trust in the South West of England.

This job is to start from 6th June for up to three months initially.

Job description

The locum doctor is expected to work as part of the Neurosurgery multidisciplinary team under the supervision of registrars and consultants. They are expected to manage the acute and elective Neurosurgery patients on the wards/HDU/ICU and in ED.

The job plan will be approximately 45 hours per week (can include daytime ward cover/day on call/twilight shifts/nights). The Department will need the locum to cover predominantly 8am to 5pm ward shifts to make sure the wards are adequately covered.

Previous NHS experience and completion of foundation training is preferable and we will need minimum 3 years of referencing. The doctor will need to have good communication skills and be able to safely manage medical and Neurosurgical issues on the ward under supervision. They need to be aware of their own limitations and know when to ask for help.

Payment

This locum role is payable via Umbrella or PAYE and rates are likely to start from £50 per hour upwards.

There is no onsite accommodation available at this Trust however we can certainly assist you finding private rooms locally if needed.
