RIG Locums are assisting our NHS Client in Greater London/Kent who are looking for a Locum Paediatric Consultant with special interest in Diabetes for a duration of three months to cover special leave. This is an opportunity to work in a progressive and enthusiastic General Paediatric team in a modern, well-equipped department. This post will be full time (10PA) and the locum must be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining CCT.
The successful applicant will join an existing team of General Paediatric Consultants with different special interests backed up by Specialty Doctors and Specialist Registrars in the Paediatric Directorate. This post holder will help to run Paediatric Diabetes services and will run one MDT Paediatric Diabetes clinic per week. The post holder is also expected to support general paediatric services and run 3 general paediatric clinics per week.
The general duties of the post involve participation on the 1:10 Consultant on-call rota and a 1:10 ‘Consultant of the week’ model both on the Neonatal Unit and General Paediatric wards on separate weeks. This post is based across two sites on the South East London Borders. The hospital operates from 21st Century facilities and has a very positive organisational culture and an excellent workforce of dedicated, flexible staff committed to improving the patient experience.
