RIG Locums are privileged to be working with our NHS Client in Durham to bring to market a new locum vacancy. The Trust are looking for a Consultant Grade Doctor with Community Paediatrics experience to fill a long term contract.

This is what the job plan will look like;

The Trust would look at 6PA over 2 days as an option, 2 x 12he days would be considered (although 3 x 8hrs would be preferable).

The trust we are working with, one of the largest integrated care providers in England, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician with an interest in neuro-disability for a 6 – 12 month period. This post is advertised for 6 Programmed Activities though applications for those who wish to work more/fewer PAs will be considered. This does not include any on call duties.

The post holder will work with a dedicated team of community and developmental paediatric consultants across various locations in the Trust, in the management of children with developmental disorders and complex health needs, alongside specialist community nurses and therapists. Duties will include neurodevelopmental clinics, Initial Health Assessments of Looked After Children, multi-agency working the area of safeguarding children and attendance at clinical governance and other relevant clinical and departmental meetings. This post will be based at Chester le Street Community Hospital where the main duties will be undertaken; the past holder will be expected to work at any of the other Trust premises, as required.
