CPL UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for an enthusiastic CAMHS Consultant in the community service, based in North London area.
The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry to work full-time and it would be excellent for someone wanting to broaden their experience of community psychiatry and develop their clinical skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The team is well established with good support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues.
This is a Consultant Psychiatry post working with children with mental health difficulties in the Neurodevelopmental pathway. This is a substantive post which has been created as the previous post holder is leaving the service. This post will have responsibility for children with Neurodevelopmental Conditions including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder. This post-holder will be professionally accountable to the Medical Director of the Mental Health NHS Trust, and managerially to the Clinical Director of the local Directorate.
Clinical duties:
-The post holder will undertake the necessary clinical administrative duties associated with providing excellent patient care
-The post holder will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, and therefore attend multidisciplinary team meetings and provide advice and support to the team.
-support the further transformation of the service and lead on QI projects.
-ensure all cases are appropriately allocated to professionals within the expertise and skills available in the team.
-play a role in implementing children and young people’s IAPT.
-play an active role in developing services under the Transforming Care Agenda.
-assess and treat children and families.
-actively engage in links with other parts of Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, Primary Care Services, Social Services and other agencies relevant to the services.
-have primary responsibility for cases where they have direct face to face contact
-have shared responsibility for cases on which they collaborate or co-work with other professionals.
-lead in the neurodevelopmental pathway as indicated.
