CPL are currently recruiting for a Consultant Neurophysiologist to join a new project based in Birmingham via one of our insourcing clients.
Location: Birmingham
Type of Service: Onsite – Wednesday, Saturdays and Sundays
Rates: £2000 LTD Per day
Proposed Start Date: 7th March 2026 – up to one year of work
Duties of Role:
- EMG (Electromyography) and NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies) – including standard, extended, and specialist investigations.
- Standard turnaround time for reports: within 7 working days (routine); expedited reporting for urgent cases (within 24 hours).
Experience Required:
- Consultant Neurophysiologists (GMC-registered, ideally with specialist accreditation but not essential)
Day & Times / Session Pattern:
- Routine patients are 30 mins. MND complex will be a 1-hour slot.
- Clinic space available from 8am to 8pm.
- 2 session days (15 patients)
- 2 session days including 30 mins break (8am arrival with first patient at 8:30am with final patient finishing at 5pm)
Admin / Follow-ups Required:
- New GP referrals – Very rare for follow ups but if there were any then the consultants would be expected to see these.
- Admin time built into patient appointment slots.
- Exception to submit reporting to the Trust directly via email account which will have been created for the staff.
Additional Information:
- IT set up time is 48 hours but consultants do have to attend briefly onsite to activate accounts prior to 1st shift.
- IT Set up details - Name, contact number, email, GMC, What brand machines are being used (They will know what this means).
- CONSULTANTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN MACHINES.
- No Smartcard requirements.
