We have recently received an exciting opportunity from a pioneering design, research, and technology studio based in Shoreditch, London. They are looking for a Lead Service Designer to join their team as maternity leave cover for 9 months, with the possibility of extension. The client, a dynamic company passionate about bringing Artificial Intelligence to the transformation of products and services for the benefit of people, society, and the planet, operates internationally with renowned clients such as IKEA, Yohana, Google, and the NHS. They are seeking a Lead Service Designer who shares their enthusiasm for collective achievement, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on design work, contributing to the design of apps, tools, websites, and interactive experiences.
  • Integrating data and AI into design concepts within a service and brand context.
  • Mapping and blueprinting, service design, and connecting various pieces of research and client knowledge for product or service development.
  • Providing a critical voice in ideation, pushing concepts forward to align with client strategies and business goals.
  • Client management and translation, presenting ideas effectively to clients, and leading teams autonomously.
  • Crafting stories and narratives for clients, focusing on user-centered experiences and human voices in technology discussions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in service design, product design, and understanding product/service systems.
  • Interest and understanding of data and AI, as well as advancements in technology and their impact on human experiences.
  • Curiosity, creativity, resourcefulness, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Positive professional attitude, balancing proactivity with thoughtfulness and empathy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in small, highly collaborative teams.

Details:

  • Salary: GBP 62k — 74k (pro rata)
  • Permanent position: 4 days a week, 32 hours
  • Flexible hybrid working between homes and Shoreditch studio
