The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous legal experience who is looking to build their career within wills and probate. You will provide support to fee earners and partners, helping to ensure the smooth running of files and delivering excellent client service at all times. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high standards of client care in a professional and approachable manner
- Corresponding with clients and third parties on legal matters
- Handling new client enquiries
- Drafting legal documents, including wills and lasting powers of attorney
- Assisting fee earners with the progression of files
- Opening and closing files in line with firm procedures
- Carrying out legal research and investigative work where required
- Maintaining accurate records and clear internal communications
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative tasks including filing and document preparation
- Promoting the firm’s services and maintaining a positive professional image
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous legal experience, ideally within a Private Client team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT and word processing skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- A commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct standards
- The ability to work proactively using your own initiative
