Overview
The prime role of a Commercial Property Solicitor is to undertake fee-earning work, promote the firm’s image and ethos, and adhere to agreed practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Deal with client work as allocated by the Commercial Property Team Leader, following detailed procedures and quality standards with minimal supervision.
- Progress all client work expeditiously and keep clients regularly informed on progress and costs.
- Exercise high standards of client care at all times, professionally and pleasantly.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.
- Achieve agreed personal and team targets in respect of fee income and chargeable time recording.
- Comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Professional Conduct rules.
- Maintain clear and precise communication with other personnel.
- Maintain good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- Support, develop and supervise immediate support staff as requested.
- Take responsibility for and attend training and self-development activities.
- Assist with in-house training to meet Law Society requirements.
- Actively promote the firm’s services and image in collaboration with the Team Leader and Partners.
- Handle a wide variety of cases day-to-day.
- Manage own caseload and be able to take over cases partway through.
- Conduct matters on behalf of clients.
- Work as part of the team.
- Assist in marketing the firm’s client services as required.
- Develop own caseload with support from the Team Leader.
Person Specification – Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Admission to the Solicitors’ Roll with at least 3 years PQE.
- Experience in Commercial Property law of at least 3 years PQE.
- Computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
