Are you an experienced stores professional who thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and keeping production running smoothly? We are looking for a Store Person / Goods Inwards Person to take ownership of our stock control operations and ensure our manufacturing teams have exactly what they need, when they need it. This is a hands-on role where you will be at the heart of operations—receiving materials, ensuring quality standards are met, managing stock locations, and coordinating with suppliers to keep everything flowing seamlessly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the goods inwards process: Receive deliveries, carry out quality checks, and ensure everything matches specifications before it hits production.
- Master the MRP system: Keep Factory Master updated with accurate, timely data on all stock movements.
- Support production: Pick and kit works orders efficiently, flag any shortages early, and keep delivery performance on track.
- Maintain stock integrity: Manage stock accuracy, locations, stock takes, and reporting across the warehouse.
- Keep things moving: Operate forklifts (counterbalance) to move materials safely on and off vehicles and around the facility.
- Be quality-focused: Work with the Quality team to process non-conforming goods and drive continuous improvement with suppliers.
Requirements
- Essential: Solid experience in a stores or goods inwards environment.
- Confidence using warehouse management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A can-do attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Great communication skills and a team-player mindset.
- PC literacy and ability to work independently.
- Driving licence.
