Based at Meridian Business Park in Leicester, we're a skilled team of specialist engineers working at the cutting edge of power generation machinery.
We're looking for an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist engineering business, working on bespoke machinery from build through to customer handover. This is a predominantly factory-based role (approx. 75%), with regular opportunities to travel and commission machines on-site.
Salary range: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum DOE
Factory-Based Responsibilities (Approx. 75%):
- Prepare and carry out QA checks on sub-assemblies, machines, and production lines
- Test and validate machinery against quality and customer specifications
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers
- Decommission machines ready for shipping
- Support customer queries and after-sales issues
- Deliver machine demonstrations and trials
Site Responsibilities:
- Install and commission machinery at customer sites
- Set up, align, and integrate machines
- Perform SAT, on-site fault finding and troubleshooting
- Train customers on machine operation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
Travel Requirements:
- Typically one trip per month of either:
- 1-2 days (UK/Europe)
- 1 week (Europe or further afield)
- 2-3 weeks (long haul)
- Occasional longer trips (up to 5-6 weeks). All travel and expenses covered
Requirements:
Essential:
- Mechanical assembly / machine build experience
- ONC/HNC or degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
- Experience in testing, commissioning and fault finding
- Comfortable working with customers

Benefits:
- Salary range £35,000 to £43,000 dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed from the outset
