About the Role
Ridgeway is seeking a motivated and reliable Yard / Warehouse Operative to join our growing team at our Belfast depot. This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same. Working as part of a busy warehouse and yard operation, you will play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation.
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and dispatch goods for both hire and sales orders.
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stock control procedures.
- Carry out product quality inspections and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure the warehouse and yard areas remain clean, organised, and safe.
- Operate a forklift truck safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions when required.
- Assist customers and drivers professionally when collecting or delivering goods.
- Support the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Valid Forklift Licence.
- Previous warehouse and/or yard experience.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and proactive approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience within a construction, industrial, or hire equipment environment.
- Knowledge of stock control systems and warehouse procedures.
