Ridgeway & Co are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major highways project in South Wokingham. Working with an established contractor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial delivery of the scheme, ensuring costs are effectively managed and contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing project costs and commercial performance
- Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
- Supporting procurement activities
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
- Working closely with operational teams to achieve project objectives
Requirements
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within highways or civil engineering
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage project finances
- Strong communication and reporting skills
