Document controller Location: Walthamstow, East London Salary: £40,000 per annum Employment Type: Permanent Sector: Social Housing / Renewable Energy The Company An established social housing contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Document Controller to join its Renewable Energy Division, based in Walthamstow, East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction Document Controller to join a growing team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of renewable energy and social housing projects. The Role As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, clients and the wider delivery team to ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date and readily available. Your responsibilities will include: * Managing and controlling project documentation, including drawings, reports, correspondence and other project records. * Maintaining accurate document registers and ensuring the latest revisions are available to the project team. * Uploading, issuing, tracking and distributing construction documentation. * Ensuring documents are correctly named, filed and maintained in accordance with company and project procedures. * Monitoring document revisions and ensuring superseded documentation is appropriately controlled. * Liaising with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, clients and the wider project delivery team. * Supporting project administration and document compliance requirements. * Ensuring project information is issued to the relevant parties within agreed timescales. * Maintaining a clear and accurate audit trail of project documentation. * Supporting the delivery of renewable energy and social housing projects through effective document control and administration. To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience working as a Document Controller within the construction industry and be confident managing a high volume of project information. The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction. * Strong IT and administrative skills. * Experience managing drawings, reports, correspondence and other construction documentation. * Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. * The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors and clients. * Experience using a document management system or Common Data Environment (CDE) is desirable. * A proactive and methodical approach to document control and project administration.
