Ridgeway & Co are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to join a leading groundworks contractor on a long-term project based in Takley, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering a large-scale groundworks package from the early stages through to completion, with a strong pipeline of future work.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all day-to-day groundworks operations on site
- Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and material deliveries
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections
- Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager
- Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and quality control
- Liaising with clients, engineers and the wider project team
- Managing site documentation, permits and RAMS compliance
- Ensuring works comply with project drawings, specifications and programme requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Groundworks Site Manager
- Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, infrastructure and external works
- Experience working on residential or infrastructure groundworks projects
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
