Ridgeway & Co are partnering with a respected multidisciplinary contractor design team to recruit a Structural Revit Technician to join their growing technical team in Bury St Edmunds. You’ll be working across a diverse portfolio of building and civil engineering projects ranging from £100K to £30M+, including schemes in education, commercial, industrial, healthcare, research, and award-winning decarbonisation and residential developments. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering fully integrated structural and architectural design solutions using the latest BIM technology.

Salary: Up to £57,500, dependent on experience. Car allowance, pension and private healthcare included additionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed structural models and working drawings using Revit in line with ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 standards
  • Collaborate closely with Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers, and Architectural teams
  • Ensure technical compliance with project briefs, national/international standards, and statutory regulations
  • Develop and maintain BIM standards, QA processes, and technical detailing protocols
  • Translate manufacturer specifications into working details
  • Conduct site visits for measured surveys and design verification (e.g. foundations, reinforcement checks)
  • Mentor and supervise trainees/technicians, contributing to team development
  • Support workload planning and programme coordination
  • Review and check models, drawings, and schedules for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in calculating resource requirements for fee proposals

Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of structural detailing for steelwork, reinforced concrete, and general construction
  • Competent with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Understanding of Building Regulations and BIM standards including ISO 19650
  • Ability to produce accurate, coordinated 3D models and technical documentation

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years UK-based experience across a variety of construction sectors
  • HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent (further training and EngTech support available)
