Salary: £100,000 per annum

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major £50 million residential construction project in North West London. This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional with a strong background in managing costs and contracts on large‑scale residential developments.

You will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring effective cost control, procurement, and financial management from pre‑construction through to final account. Working closely with the project team, you will play a key role in maximising value and ensuring financial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Oversee procurement and subcontractor management
  • Administer contracts and manage variations
  • Monitor project costs and ensure financial control
  • Lead on valuations, payments, and final accounts
  • Identify risks and implement cost‑saving strategies
  • Provide regular commercial reporting to senior management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
  • Strong background in residential projects preferred
  • Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g. RICS preferred)
