Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundworks looking to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of projects? Our client is a successful groundworks specialist delivering high-quality packages across education, leisure, and commercial schemes throughout London, Essex, Hertfordshire and Kent. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks packages from tender through to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on budget, maximising profitability while maintaining strong client relationships. Key responsibilities include: * Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations and final accounts * Cost planning and forecasting across multiple projects * Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and agreements * Supporting the project team in ensuring contractual and financial compliance * Liaising with clients, consultants and site teams to resolve commercial issues The Candidate * Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering * Strong knowledge of cost control, tendering and contract administration * Confident in managing multiple projects at once * Excellent communication and negotiation skills
