We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor on a long-term project in Harlow. Due to continued growth and the commencement of a new phase of works, the successful Engineer will join an established site team and take responsibility for setting out, surveying, site control and providing technical support throughout the project. This would suit an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer from a civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure background looking for a permanent position offering long-term work and genuine progression.
Responsibilities
- Setting out civil engineering and groundworks packages accurately on site.
- Establishing and maintaining the site's primary control network.
- Undertaking site surveys and producing accurate setting-out information.
- Using Leica Total Stations, GNSS/GPS and levelling equipment.
- Ensuring works are delivered accurately and to the required drawings and specifications.
- Providing technical advice and assistance to site teams.
- Monitoring quality and identifying potential issues before they affect programme or delivery.
