About the Role
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a range of construction projects. You will be involved in all aspects of project financial management, including procurement, cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts. This is a hands‑on role where you will work closely with site teams and management, giving you practical experience and the chance to develop your commercial skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Price and forecast the cost of materials and labour
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities
- Track design and construction changes and update cost projections
- Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers
- Measure and value completed works and manage the commercial programme
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, site managers, and engineers
- Source and select construction materials
- Produce commercial and financial reports
- Maintain awareness of current construction contracts
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong communication, organisation, and negotiation skills
- Previous site or commercial experience is desirable but not essential
