ELECTRICAL COMPLIANCE MANAGER (RENEWABLES DIVISION)
Based: Chingford, London Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum Company Van Provided Permanent Position
Ridgeway & Co are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Compliance Manager to join a growing Renewables Division based in Chingford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong electrical professional to lead the compliance function across a range of renewable energy projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
The role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of the business while managing compliance processes and supporting both office and site-based teams.
Role Overview
As the Electrical Compliance Manager, you will oversee all electrical compliance, quality assurance and technical support across renewable energy installations, including Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems.
You will work closely with engineers, project teams and senior management to ensure all installations meet current regulations, industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Office Based
- Manage and oversee the electrical compliance function across all renewable projects.
- Review and approve electrical certification and installation documentation.
- Carry out desktop quality assurance of installation evidence, including photographs, reports and commissioning records.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and project teams.
- Manage DNO applications and coordinate approvals.
- Oversee NICEIC and Building Control notifications.
- Support procurement by reviewing material requirements and technical specifications.
- Assist with Solar PV system design and technical planning.
- Develop and improve compliance procedures and quality assurance processes.
- Site Based
- Carry out site inspections, audits and quality assurance checks.
- Ensure installations comply with current electrical regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct technical surveys and provide recommendations where required.
- Support engineers with technical issues and compliance requirements.
- Monitor installation quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Compliance Manager, Electrical Manager, Electrical Supervisor or Senior Qualified Electrician role.
- Strong background in electrical installation and testing.
- Experience working on the tools before moving into management.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical compliance, QA procedures and industry regulations.
- Experience within Solar PV or Air Source Heat Pumps is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
