About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a well-established and growing main contractor based in Colchester. Working closely with the senior management team, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple construction projects valued up to £10 million across the education, retail, commercial, healthcare and community sectors. This office-based role includes regular site visits and offers the opportunity to play a key role in project planning, coordination and delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Oversee project programmes, documentation, procurement, resources and compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Monitor project progress, resolve technical and operational issues, and attend client meetings and site visits.
About You
You’ll have proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager working for a main contractor, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects. You’ll be an organised leader with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of construction project delivery.
